44 Minutes Of Love CD release - 7:59pm Feb 13th, 2006
Making this album was a true labor of love, involving the talents & time of many creative people. Once the album was complete, it made sense to gather everyone who had been involved, & celebrate with a live performance of the album @ dizzy’s. So that’s just what we did – on the 44th day of the year, the night before Valentines Day. Joining me were Bob Magnusson bass, Rob Whitlock B3, John Rekevics saxophone, Dave Curtis keys/sound design, Arthur Fisher flute, Gary Nieves drums, & Brian Price guitar.
The highlight of the show was, for me, the final song Minor Blue Surcease. Saxophonist John Rekevics was so emotive as he soared into the stratosphere, & took us all out into the cool night tingling with delight.
